At the level of conversation we're having in the "What's the value of
learning?" that seems to be recurring, I think the answer is rather
easy. (And I think, in John Warfield's term, it is a question from
_answer space"_)
Do an empirical experiment. Take two areas and try out your learning
theories in one of them and compare the results by any measure of
learning, innovation or creativity that you - or your market audience
- want.
I think the question, at this level, is trivial because it's so
easily demonstrated if there is a committed audience for the results.
I think that what is being addressed is an inauthentic question asked
by those who "want the fire before they'll provide the wood."
