The systemic reasons for change that paralell Bateson's concept of gravity
have to do with homeostasis.
Systems seem to operate on consistency and entropy except for the
evolutionary thrusts for differentiation and then division of labor.
Resistance to change is positive in that it conserves consistency and
consolidates energy and who and what doesn't like that?
