Replying to LO1226 --

Ahh Ivan, some common background must be showing up. The language is
irrestistable. We have labour instead of people. In Britain we've
had "hands" instead of intelligence or mind or ???

Can you imagine a conversation between the accountants and executives
about "What's the right number (or amount) of intelligences for our
business?" I have never had the feeling that "head count" referred
to what was in those heads.

I think that contemporary thinking in philosophy and science and the
technology of the day is leading to the first convergence of humanity
and production enterprises in a couple of centuries.

The divergence in this area of the machine age is being transformed
to convergence by the information age.
