Tom Burke's post is powerfully stated. I'm reminded of an aphorism that
may be from William James: "Even in a universe in which ALL IS ONE, it
has to be possible to pass the potatoes." I agree that the dilemma is a
perfectly real one, not to be solved or resolved merely by some magical
transformation of perspective. It's _difficult_.
