I appreciate your thrust toward defining the soulfullness of
organizations.

A primary characteristic of soul in organizations is it encouraging
comment and reflection about itself, its activities, its ways of working.
In many spiritual traditions this has been called the Witness. What we
know about dysfunctional families is that they have the "Don't talk" rule.
Healthy families have the "Do talk" rule.

So, is it ok to reflect out loud and comment about what's going on this
organization, or do we do so at our peril?

This characteristic for me is probably the most important. Without it all
kinds of other soul denying and dispiriting stuff is probably going on as
well.
