As the Berlin wall fell
May these walls so fall:
Division of mind and body
Division of self and world
Division of spirit and matter
Division of Human and Nature
Against the granite of illusion
I raise my hammer.

As the Berlin wall fell
May these walls so fall:
Division of theory and practice
Division of ideal and real
Division of form and substance
Division of heaven and earth
Against impenetrable barriers of thought
I drive my hammer.

As the Berlin wall fell
May these walls so fall:
Division of whole and parts
Division of thought and feeling
Division of art and life
Division of knowing and sensing
Against the fortifications of despair
My hammer strikes sparks.

As the Berlin wall fell
May these walls so fall
Final
Freeing
Forever
