Some stories, like this one, are so dense with meaning - nasty, negative
meaning, but meaning nonetheless - that a full explication could easily
consume a couple of volumes. Like Proust starting from a teacup, or
whatever. I guess I oughta get off the language horse I've been riding
for the past month, but stories like this one make it awfully hard.
