Replying to LO960 --

Replying to John Snyder's comment about the employees being
so far down, or not being able to bounce back.
I think what needs to be done in these situations is some
grief work. The teacher who needs to arrive is one who will help
the people work through their grief, depression, anger, until the
employees arrive at a later stage of the grief process and are
able and willing to assert some control over their lives.
The human spirit is very resilient, it will bounce back.
What is needs is some quiet time to grow new roots, find new
sunshine and begin growing again. The best growth medium
may be for the consultant to build a silent, supportive space
where the employees can grieve.
