I agree that the Kennedy vision was a call to action. I would caution
that, another country, not already going down the space race path,
could have had the same vision, and created turmoil and frustration.
The key to a vision is that it IS CONSISTENT with current core
competencies, and builds on the natural desires of the people (in
this case, the desire to "beat" Russia). So I guess I am in violent
agreement with the above "refutation" of my earlier point...
