I suggest that, as one moves up this hierarchy/taxonomy, one makes
subtle changes in the nature of the context. For instance, the
context for Data may simply consist of more data. The context for
Information may consist of distillations of facts, the application of
patterns or categories, the use of inferences. The context for Knowledge,
allowing it to become Wisdom appears to involve the bringing to bear
of systems of values.

Compassion, I suggest, forms one part of the value system, the part
that focuses on assigning value to people as people.
