There is a cliche that seems to hold water more often than not
in conversations about change. "People don't resist change,
they resist being changed."

When used with the companion cliche, "People support what they
create" one con evolve a simple yet powerful framework for
thinking that will likely lead into a learning culture. Both
of the cliches seem to suggest an expansive attitude that has
us looking outside ourselves for a rationale for approaching
communication and problem solving.
