Charlie Fleetham says: "This has been my nuts and bolts experience as a
consultant on change projects - and I think it is the experience of many
consultants that I know.

My bottom line - resistance exists and sometimes you have to
remove it to succeed. Has anyone had a similar experience?"

Many subscribers to this list are practitioners - either internal or
external consultants - engaged when the leadership recognizes the need for
change and is seeking help either in defining/designing change or in
implementing it.

We need to remember that not all changes in organizations are conscious or
planned, and that sometimes "change agents" are busy promoting change
which "nobody" sees as necessary; and sometimes changes are occurring
outside the volition of those most affected...
