Today I found myself declaring to a colleague regarding my weight loss
program, "It's a reinforcing loop. The more I lose, the better I feel.
Feeling good keeps me on track, and I lose even more. That makes me feel
even better..." Of course, it's true you can't keep this up forever, and
at the point where you ought to stabilize, the cessation of weight loss
may also curtail "feeling good", and people often find themselves at that
point at the beginning of an upward spiral...
