Hi. I'm new to this list, which seems to be a very good
resource! I operate the HEPROC-L mailing list where higher
education issues are discussed. I'm now developing a discussion
regarding the application of learning organization principles
to the higher education institution. If any of you would find
that to be of interest you are welcome to join. I hope some of
you will help us to clarify what a learning organization is and
how the concepts might be fruitfully applied to the higher ed
setting. Particular issues seem to be the loose use made of the
term "learning organization" by administrators and faculty at
different institutions, which causes people to become dubious
as to the value of the term and what it signifies. Second, we
could probably benefit from some research input, that is, the
input from any who have conducted relevant research or who
might be familiar with such.

I hope some of you will join. Our listname is heproc-l@american.edu
and that's on a listserv. Write to me if you have any trouble
joining.
