Hello Newsgroup. I am a new subscriber. My interest comes initally from
course work done at The Whitemore School at UNH in Leadership. Since that
time I have studied an tried to apply the Learning Organization principles
in my organization. I am an administrator of a Special Education facility
in NH working on my disertation proposal at UNH in Ed Adm. with an
emphasis on Leadership. In addition to applying the principles in my work
life, I hope to study those principals who use them. I am curious as to
what the reflective practice of these principals is like. The roles for
the principal of the nineties has changed and the Learning Organization
seems to be one way to meet these changing role expectations.

Secondly, I wonder what these princiapls are like from an adult
development perspective. Might understanding, accepting and applying
these principles require a certain stage or complexity of development?
Thirdly, are these principals using the Learning Organization more
effective leaders as seen from A LEadership Orientation profile, users of
the political and symbolic rather thatn the interpersonal and structural
(Bolman and Deal)? The framework for the dissertation is still be
explored and I hope to have the proposal completed in the next few months.

So all in all, a timely finding of this newsgroup.
