I am in agreement that htere is too much "silver bullet" mentality
around in which people seek the easy answers, the shortcuts and the
instant solutions. Metaphors can be a tremendous help as long as
people keep in mind that it is exactly where they don't fit a
specific situation that the MOST learning can take place.

IMHO this is their greatest potential to assist the L-O!
