Hello all. This will be brief, as I have a mound of assignments
to mark. I help people learn consultancy skills at the University
of Queensland as part of undergraduate and postgraduate programs
in psychology. The classes themselves are run as "learning
organisations" in some respects (many are partly self-managed).
I also do some consultancy work in community and organisational
change -- much of this could be described as consistent with a
"learning organisation" approach.

Many of my interests overlap with the concept of the learning
organisation: participative and qualitative research and evaluation
methods, ways of increasing participation, adult learning,
participative change, and so on. And it's probably relevant to
mention that I've been particularly influenced by the concepts and
processes of Chris Argyris.

I have a lot of questions. The burning one is: How do you prevent
organisational hardening of the arteries the moment you turn your
back? -- Bob
