I think Norman is right on in his comment about taking personal
responsibility for your own learning.

To me, that people take personal responsibility and initiative for their
own learning is a cornerstone of the learning organization. We'd like to
have kids take such responsibility for their own learning, not make it
the teacher's responsibility.

One of our friends, Diane Cory, uses a two word phrase and a special
symbol for Teacher/Learner, saying they are inseparable, you can't have
one with out the other. She has T/L buttons to keep the point visible.

Getting people to take the responsibility is an undercurrent throughout
our educational and intervention programs. What have you all found that
helps to achieve this?
