On the J-Comp, Tom is weaving a map of the island using rya knots with shots of tabby between the rows of knots. The warp is Alan Whiting's Island Wool. He is starting with waves that rise, swell and then crash on the shore. |

| Katherine is working on another
warp, making dish towels and yardage for a vest. The 36" Mighty Wolf
is warped with 20/2 black cotton using a pattern from Davison's A Handweaver's
Pattern Book, page 186, overshot Norse kitchen dish towels.
Width on the loom, 25"
Tabby weft will be black 20/2 cotton

This started out as a 4 shaft pattern, but I've added 8 threads on the edges (threaded on shafts 5 and 6) to give a better selvedge. Tom figured out how to rework the treadling so that I don't go crazy! If you want details about the treadling, holler and I'll send them. |
