| You need to make yourself a bar to attach the warp bouts. I used a lease stick (one of the ones that came with the loom), drilled three small holes in it (middle and each end) and attached it to the warp beam with three screw eyes and short length of wire. You want to put the screw eyes about 2 1/2" out, and make sure the wire is short enough that when the lease stick is pulled tight, it lies BELOW the line connecting the edges of the quadrants, so that the yarn can ride over the beam without touching it when you have some tension on the warp as you wind it on. See where the stick lies with respect to the strings. Alternatively, you could use a screw eye for each section instead of the lease stick. |
