Hi Tom:
Finally! Have been looking for an email for Dale and glad to
know about
this newsletter. I think I had one of the first looms Dale
built. A 16 shaft, 60" Koa wood beauty. Sold it for an
AVL which was
not for me. Still searching finally found Madelyn van der Hoogt
and fell in love with Drawloom weaving. Have a combination Oxaback
as
my primary now.
But also had a 36" J-Made that I sold and missed it so much finally
bought another one from Dale, 24" this time. Then last year really
missed my big J-Made so Dale had taken one in trade and I have that
too. The Oxaback is intense and I am a purist at heart so no
electronics other than a program that digitizes my pictures for me.
But
when I finish a project on the drawloom, I love to go to my
J-made and just enjoy the wonderful weaving it produces. I can't
imagine weaving on anything else and have said so for many years
(about 20 I think).
Would enjoy receiving the newsletter and thanks a bunch for the info.
Always good to know about other weavers and what they are
doing. I belong to the South Central Pennsyvania Guild that meets
at
the Mannings in East Berlin, Pa. My husband and I just moved
to Pa. last summer from Tacoma, Washington.
Have a great day!
