My name is B.K. DeLong. I am a sophomore CS Major at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Currently, I am the Internet Research Assistant in the UMass News Office and work for Science Editor, Art Clifford. My projects have been to create a WWW page and mailing list for a group called New England Science Writers, as well as a home page for the Science News, News Office, Campus Chronicle, (faculty weekly), and the Collegian, (student daily). I helped in the development of a special project to put the Collegian On-line with NCAA Basketball Finals Coverage of the UMass Minutemen. (As you can see, I still have a long way to go with actual text editing.) Currently, I am creating an on-line expert guide for the UMass News Office containing the e-mail, WWW address, and telephone number of UMass experts in various fields who have agreed to represent the University in the press. I hope to learn a lot from this group as well as contribute my knowledge of bring media to the Internet. -- B.K.
