former MRFRS volunteer who made us all crazy. Not her real name. Named because one day I walked in the door and she stood about 4 inches from my face and bellowed: "Tibetan!" We don't know why.

Definitely not a complete list of all cats at the shelter or all cats I know. If you think I'm going to list all of Thomas' cats, you're nuts. They'll have to remain Sable and the Seven Siamese.

my cat, adopted from the shelter on December 30, 1995.

Jaguar

gorgeous white cat who has been at the shelter as long as I've been working there - please won't somebody adopt him? - i know he's difficult but he has much to recommend him

Stumpy

cute part Manx with the waggliest tail - adopt him please - he's sweet

she bites - i sing "Juliette don't hurt me" when I start work

Igor

a Canada goose with only one wing - he can't fly - he lives at Watchemoket Cove and prefers the company of swans to his own species

Pepe

a tiny white dog who barks like a giant - belongs to one of my neighbors - a feature of the soundscape here (these people and hence Pepe, have since moved and the unit is occupied by a woman who pet-sits Bichon Frises - no joke)

the mockingbird

a mockingbird who spends the summer on the wire right outside the window of my study/office/computer room. likes raspberries a whole lot. imitates a car alarm as well as more conventional sounds like robins.
