nice day

April 18, 2005

Wow, it's great to have a nice day! Especially when it's a holiday! You can guess where I went. There weren't any exciting migrants around yet, but the purple martins are back. So the birding wasn't the highlight. Dueling for "highlight of the day" instead were a pair of muskrats frolicking in the north pool -- muskrat love! -- and a chorus of American toads singing their squat little hearts out. There ain't a whole lot else to say about it. It was a nice day.
