cosmic disturbance

Clearly the Red Sox' stunning comeback to win 4 straight games and vanquish the pinstripes of evil in the heart of the evil empire has caused some huge cosmic disturbance. When I woke up this morning after a record 10 1/2 hours of sleep, I turned on the radio and the first news I heard was that Rt. 3 is about to get wider. Seriously, the Red Sox upset the balance of nature and a third lane appears on Rt 3. Insert Twilight Zone theme music here. Of course even after 10 1/2 hours I still haven't totally recouped my Red Sox sleep deficit, so I misunderstood the Rt. 3 story as meaning they were going to open the third lane today so was quite disappointed when Rt. 3 was still not any wider this morning. Apparently the miracle is scheduled to occur on Monday. By then 2 World Series games will have been played in Boston.
