Shopping Links

In a shameless attempt to help defray my internet costs, I have made arrangements with the following merchants.  All of them are companies I use myself, and recommend.  If you want to buy what they sell, click on the link below -- you won't pay any more, and I will get a commission.

NOVICA.com imports and sells crafts made by third-world artisans; their claim is that the artisans get more, and you pay less, because they are omitting profit-taking by a host of intermediaries.  Their site features biographies of the artists and pictures of the products.  I bought a great 4X6 Mexican rug there, and can attest to the accuracy of the product description and photo.

wine.com  --  There are several ways to buy wine on the web.  What I like about wine.com is their independence; this means that their tasting notes are less clouded by their need to get rid of old inventory.  I have done well purchasing from them.  They have also played an energetic role in pushing states to revise the old laws that keep you from buying wine by mail order.

Light Impressions - Photography Storage Tips -- I take lots of photos, and searched for years for a safe, convenient way to store old prints and negatives before I came upon this company.  I love their photo archive boxes.  They make a variety of products for archival-quality storage.
