There are a number of other Web Sites on the Net. You can go from checking Bible passages to reading the latest speeches by his Holiness, Pope John Paul II.

The web site of the Bascilica of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC, is a place well worth visiting on a visit to our Nation's Capital. The Shrine can be seen from a number of high points in Washington. It is due north of the Capital and is next to Catholic University. A number of Priests who have served the Immaculate in Lowell went to school in that area. There is also a good Catholic book store in the area (Newman Book Store Of Washington, 3329 8th St NE, Washington, DC 20017-3504, Phone: (202) 526-1036

We thought that one site you might wish to visit, especially when the snows of Winter close in on us is another Immaculate Conception Church, the Cathedral of the Diocese of Mobile, Alabama. The picture of the Cathedral, provides a scene which will remind us that Summer is not far away. The Diocese of Mobile was founded 9 March 1829.

THe Archdiocese of Boston maintains its own home page, located at http://www.rcab.org.

Also, The Pilot, our Diocese newspaper, is on line. If you are interested in subscription information or in contacting The Pilot, click here.

For an Internet Catholic Publication that provides an additional perspective, the British Catholic magazine The Tablet provides such a perspective. There are often articles on Catholics in Every Day life.

The Church continues to recognize those Roman Catholics whose life has been an inspiration to us all and who seem to have been specially favored by God in their life after death. One of those so recognized is Sister Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, also known as (Doctor) Edith Stein. Sister Teresa Benedicta was killed by Nazis at Auschwitz Concentration Camp because of her Jewish heritage.
