A SHORT HISTORY OF OUR PARISH

The Immaculate Conception Parish was founded on June 9th, 1869, over one hunred years ago.

The dogma of the Immaculate Conception was proclaimed by Pope Pius IX in 1854.

The most Blessed Virgin Mary was, from the first moment of her conception, by a singular grace and priviledge of almight God and by virtue of the merits of Jesus Christ, Savior of the human race, preserved immune from all stain of original sin.
Pius IX, Ineffabilis Deus, 1854: DS 2803

Our Parish boundaries are provided by the Archdiocese of Boston. The latest adjustment was provided to us in 1961.
