The ocean storm that battered the Cape Cod area with a near blizzard yesterday
is drifting east. Snow showers and high wind will diminish on the Cape today.
Elsewhere, its a chilly start this morning with temperatures in the 20s along
the coast and urban centers but ranging down to the single numbers in
southwest New Hampshire. Highs today will be generally in the 30s under mostly
sunny skies. Lows tonight will be similar to the readings of this morning but
with less wind. Weak high pressure follows Tuesday with increasing clouds and
milder temperatures, the mercury reaching the lower 40s. A strong cold frontal
passage Wednesday will be preceded by showers early in the day.
