Although precipitation came to an end overnight skies remained cloudy. Lows across the region this morning were in the 30s. Today will see mostly cloudy skies as the departing low pressure system wraps moisture back into southern New England. Higher elevations will see snow showers throughout the day while the rest of the region will see a chance of morning rain showers before the skies become partly cloudy during the late afternoon. Highs today will range from the lower 30s to mid 40s. Tonight skies will be partly to mostly cloudy and it will be much cooler. Overnight lows will range from the low teens over the northwest to the mid 20s over the Cape and islands. High pressure will begin to build into the region from the west on Thursday. With high pressure building into the region skies will become mostly sunny by early afternoon. Highs will range from the lower 20s to around 30°.
