Early morning lows were generally in the 20s with a few coastal locations reporting lows in the lower 30s. For today low pressure, which was centered over eastern Kentucky at 7 am, will move to the northeast and passing across southern New England late this Tuesday evening. Clouds will continue to thicken this morning with light snow developing by late morning. Over eastern and southern sections of the region snow will quickly mix with or change to rain. Interior northern portions of the region will see snow for the afternoon. Highs today will range from the mid 30s to the mid 40s. For tonight the precipitation will come to an end by around midnight as low pressure moves off to the northeast. Lows tonight will be in the lower 30s across most all of southern New England. Wednesday will see mostly cloudy skies as the departing low pressure system wraps moisture back into southern New England. Higher elevations will see snow showers throughout the day while the rest of the region will see a chance of morning rain showers before the skies become partly cloudy during the afternoon.
