Southwest winds will increase during the morning but strongest winds will occur this afternoon into this evening. Low pressure moves northeast from the Great Lakes today and tracks north of New England this evening. So expect an area of light precipitation, generally rain, to overspread the region mid to late afternoon. Most of the precipitation will be ending first by early evening across western sections. Clearing skies will prevail overnight throughout the region. Where it is cold enough for snow in the interior, amounts will be light, just a coating to possibly an inch. Wednesday will be a dry day with partly sunny skies. High pressure will move away from the east coast early today. Low pressure will move out of the Great Lakes this afternoon, pushing into southern Quebec tonight. Large, strong high pressure over the central U.S. will push east Wednesday through Friday, bringing another shot of very cold air to the region. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were mostly clear.
