Skies should be sunny to the south of the Massachusetts pike, but partly sunny north. A few flurries are possible across southern New Hampshire this morning. Highs should range from the upper teens to near 20 across the higher terrain, to the mid 20s along the coastal plain. Northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph will result in wind chill values from 5 above to 10 below zero this morning. Winds diminish this evening as a strong high pressure system passes just to our south. Skies will become partly cloudy, particularly toward morning. Lows should range from between 5 and 10 across the outlying locations, to the upper teens in downtown Boston and Providence. A weak low pressure system will pass well to our northwest across the Great Lakes on Tuesday afternoon. Skies should quickly become overcast by late morning or certainly by early afternoon. North of a Boston to Hartford line, the better chance you will have of seeing a burst of wet snow. Elsewhere it should be warm enough to be just rain. Highs should be in the upper 20s to lower 30s across the interior high terrain, but should warm into the mid 40s across the Cape and islands toward evening. The precipitation should end from northwest to southeast Tuesday night as a cold front ushers in drier into the region after midnight. Skies should become mostly clear by daybreak Wednesday with morning low temperatures ranging from the upper teens across the interior high terrain, to the 20s elsewhere. High pressure in the Ohio valley will move off the mid Atlantic coast tonight. A low pressure system will then move across southern Quebec Tuesday and Tuesday night. A clipper type system will move through Wednesday night and Thursday. Strong high pressure and another shot of arctic air will move in Thursday and last through Friday. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were clear.
