Showers will be ending from west to east by mid morning. There will be some breaking clouds, even brief sunshine. However, with daytime heating, this would regenerate clouds and scattered showers. Winds will increase during the afternoon with gusts up to 40 mph. The robust wind will continue tonight and Friday with even stronger wind speeds possible on Friday morning. Wind speeds should diminish late in the day. Temperatures across our region for both today and Friday will average some 5 to 10° below normal. Low pressure will move east of the region this morning ending the rain.
