Accumulations will span from an inch or two across higher terrain while plain rain will fall on the coastal plain. The rain will continue through the day and maybe heavy at times. The bulk of the rain will fall during the morning and afternoon hours and become the predominant precipitation type by late morning. Gusty and chilly conditions will be featured on Thursday and Friday. Fair and dry conditions are forecast follow for the weekend with temperatures below normal levels for mid March. A storm system will bring a mix of precipitation to the region late tonight through Thursday morning. Drier but colder weather will follow through the weekend.
