Lows across the region ranged from near zero over the northwest interior to around 30 over the Cape and islands. For today skies will start out partly sunny with some high cloudiness early in the morning as high pressure starts to move off to the east. However, we do expect skies to become mostly cloudy during the afternoon. Highs will range from the mid 20s to mid 30s. As high pressure moves to the east a low pressure system will begin to move up along the eastern seaboard. Clouds will thicken overnight with a chance of snow for northern sections with a mixture of snow, freezing rain and rain for southern sections. Lows tonight will range from the lower 20s to lower 30s. On Friday the low pressure system will lift up across the region bring an end to the precipitation. Highs Friday will range from the mid 30s to lower 40s across the region. Friday night will start off with partly cloudy skies. However clouds will be on te increase.
