Highs should range from the lower 30s across the higher terrain, to the mid to upper 30s along the coastal plain. Northwest winds around 15 mph with gusts to 25 mph will make it feel colder than yesterday. High pressure will build into the region tonight. Mostly clear skies, very light winds and snow cover will lead to an ideal night for radiational cooling. Low temperatures should range from the single digits across most outlying locations, with even a few below zero readings possible in parts of northwest Massachusetts and southwest New Hampshire. Boston as well as portions of the outer Cape Cod and Nantucket will see overnight lows in the lower 20s. On Thursday, skies will start out partly sunny with some high cloudiness early in the morning. However, we do expect skies to become mostly cloudy during the afternoon. A very cold start along with snow cover will limit the amount of warming that takes place. Highs should range from the mid 30s south of the Massachusetts pike and from the upper 20s to around 30 north of the pike. High pressure in control with fair weather today. A coastal low will bring a wintry mix to the region Thursday night and early Friday. Dry and seasonably cold weather follows Friday night and Saturday. An arctic cold front then sweeps across the area Saturday night, with bitterly cold weather Sunday and Monday. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were clear.
