This front also push rain into the region. Low temperatures early this morning were in the 30s region wide. A cold front will eventually cross southern New England by late this afternoon or early this evening. With this frontal system in the area the region will see generally cloudy skies with periods of rain and showers with a thunderstorm or two possible. Highs will range from the mid 40s to low 50s. Tonight any leftover showers will come to an end as the frontal system finally moves off shore and high pressure begins to build into the region. Skies will become partly cloudy overnight with lows in the 20s and 30s. Saturday will feature partly to mostly sunny skies as high pressure builds over the region.
