Across central and northeast Massachusetts as well as southern New Hampshire travel will still be slippery as snow showers and perhaps some freezing drizzle may still occur. The coastal low pressure south of Nantucket will pull away from the coast later today. However, will still have another weak low hanging back into New York state which should result in at least scattered snow showers into this afternoon. This weak disturbance should be shunted south tonight, but yet another weak disturbance should arrive toward daybreak. This means we will forecast a chance of light precipitation, mainly across eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island for Friday morning into the early afternoon hours. There should be some slippery spots Friday morning across a good portion of the area, especially Rhode Island and eastern Massachusetts. Low pressure will depart today with a mix of precipitation slowly coming to an end. An upper level disturbance will approach tonight and this may allow for a resurgence of light wintry precipitation for later tonight into Friday. The next system will quickly move in from the west on Saturday bring a mixture of precipitation. Cold and gusty weather expected for Sunday and Monday in the wake of the low. Next system possibly bring more wintry precipitation to the region Tuesday and Wednesday. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were cloudy.
