Temperatures hovered from the mid 30s to mid 40s. For today, the rain and drizzle will taper off through the morning hours, but the clouds will be tough to erode given the wind trajectory out of the northeast. The best chance for some clearing is expected to occur over southern New Hampshire and northwest Massachusetts later this afternoon. High temperatures will rise into the 50s, with around 60° in the Hartford area. High pressure will build to our north over the Canadian Maritimes, and extend south into New England through mid week. A persistent northeast wind will prevail through this period. The persistent northeast wind will result in building seas over our coastal waters. For tonight and Sunday, clouds will fill back in and blanket all of the region. Lows will be in the 30s tonight. On Sunday, high temperatures will only reach the low 40s along the east coast due to the onshore wind flow, but inland highs will be in the mid 40s to low 50s. There exists the chance for drizzle or light rain along the south coast tonight and Sunday. On Sunday night and Monday, clouds are expected to linger. Lows Sunday night will average in the 30s, and highs on Monday in the mid 40s to low 50s. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 06:54 AM EST was: === The weather reported was light rain and fog.
