A strong cold front passed across southern New England during the overnight
accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds. Today southern New England will
have plenty of sunshine with highs up into the upper 40s. Normals highs for
the first few days in April are in the to lower 50s. Tonight skies remain
clear with lows dropping down into the lower 20s along the coast, to the upper
teens in the sheltered valleys out west. Thursday should be mostly sunny into
the mid afternoon, with increasing afternoon clouds. Highs will be up into the
mid 50s. Strong high pressure builds across the eastern seaboard for today and
early Thursday. Low pressure will be developing over Texas late Thursday. This
low will track up across the Ohio valley early Friday.
