Clear skies and cold conditions prevailed early this morning across southern
New England. Temperatures ranged from some single digits well inland to the
20s along the coastal plain. Weak high pressure will linger today. Sunshine
will fade behind increasing and thickening high clouds by evening. It will be
seasonably cold with highs ranging from the mid 30s to the lower 40s. Clouds
will continue to lower and thicken tonight as low pressure over the lower
Great Lakes redevelops off the mid Atlantic coast. Light snow or flurries will
overspread much of the region by daybreak. Lows will range from the mid teens
far northwest to the 20s elsewhere. Light snow or flurries will continue
Monday and Monday night as a light onshore flow prevails.
