Low pressure that moved through the region overnight brought most locations
around an inch of snow. That system will move away from the region today, but
some light snow will still be possible over Cape Cod and Cape Ann as low
pressure remains just offshore. 1 to 3" will be possible over the outer Cape
this afternoon and evening. Partly sunny skies with highs around normal is
expected for the rest of southern New England. Much colder air will move into
the region Wednesday night and last at least through Friday night. Highs
Thursday will be in the teens and 20s with bitterly cold wind chill values.
Friday will be even colder with some portions of the interior having a hard
time getting a high temperature out of the single digits. All locations will
see wind chill values well below zero Thursday night into Friday.
