Weak low pressure will move across southern New England today and tonight. As
a result, today is expected to be cloudy with high temperatures around 5°
below normal. There will be a slight chance of light snow or freezing drizzle
across the region as well today. Most locations are expected to remain dry,
but a few roads may become locally slick. Low pressure will move southeast of
New England tonight. We will be on the northernmost edge of the system, but a
good portion of southern New England could still pick up around an inch of
snow tonight. A strong low pressure center will move well southeast of
Nantucket Thursday and Friday. We probably won`t see much in the way of
precipitation from this low, but it will usher in bitterly cold air on very
gusty winds. The potential exists very cold and windy conditions with wind
chill values well below zero.
