A warm front crossed the area south to north this afternoon and now is stalled
just north of the region. In spite of considerable cloudiness, temperatures
rose quickly in the front`s wake. Afternoon highs ranged from the lower 40s
well inland to near 50° elsewhere. A cold front will cross the forecast area
tonight. There is a chance of rain or snow showers after midnight mainly along
south coastal sections. Lows will range from the upper teens well inland to
the lower to mid 30s along the immediate coast. Mostly sunny skies and
seasonable temperatures will prevail Wednesday with highs ranging from 35 to
45°.
