Overnight mixed snow and rain was reported through midnight, most areas across
southeast New England quickly changed to rain. Sections west of Worcester had
light snow on and off into the pre dawn hours. Snow fall amounts up to around
one inch were on grassy surfaces. Lows ranged from the lower 40s east to
around 30 west. For this Friday scattered rain showers continue over eastern
areas into the afternoon, while western areas will have scattered snow showers
changing to rainshowers by afternoon. Highs range from the lower 40s east to
the mid to upper 30s west. Winds become gusty from the northwest by early
afternoon. Friday night will be remain brisk with lows dropping in the 20s.
Saturday will turn colder during the afternoon with a possibility of a few
flurries and a strong northerly winds with gusts up to 45 mph.
