Some clouds lingered over the outer Cape, but they finally pushed off the coast. The coldest readings so far this winter were recorded early this morning, with temperatures in the teens to lower 20s, except the mid and upper 20s on outer Cape Cod and the islands. Sunny skies this morning will give way to some mid and high level cloudiness by around midday. Temperatures will slowly rebound to the 30s. Skies will average out partly cloudy, but it will be milder than it was early this morning as southwest winds begin to bring warmer air into the area. Overnight lows will only fall back to the 20s and 30s. Friday will start out mostly sunny, but clouds will be on the increase during the day as a cold front pushes into New York state out of Quebec. Mild conditions will make another appearance, with highs topping off in the lower to mid 40s across southern New Hampshire, ranging to the lower 50s in the lower Connecticut valley and eastern Massachusetts.
