Temperatures were mainly in the 30s early this morning, though it was close to 40° on Nantucket. Weak high pressure will build across New England today, bringing mostly sunny skies through midday. Clouds will drift back in across the region during the afternoon. Highs will rebound to the lower to mid 40s across southern New Hampshire, ranging to the upper 40s to near 50 across eastern areas. Low pressure will be developing off the mid Atlantic coast tonight. This, along with an associated cold front, will bring more clouds to most areas overnight. Scattered rain or snow showers could push into outer Cape Cod as well as Nantucket. Lows will fall to the 20s for most areas, ranging to the lower 30s in the greater Boston area as well as on Cape Cod and the islands. The low will push quickly off the coast Wednesday morning, taking any leftover snow showers with it. This will usher in another shot of colder air. High temperatures will be more seasonable, with readings topping off only in the 30s to around 40. The outlook for Thursday calls for partly to mostly cloudy but dry conditions with highs again in the 30s to around 40. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 07:54 AM EST was: === The skies were clear.
