Today will start out sunny, but clouds will increase during the afternoon and a few showers may arrive in the Connecticut river valley late in the day. Highs will top out between 55 and 60°, except close to 50 along the immediate south coast. Rain will overspread the region tonight with low temperatures falling into the mid to upper 30s. The steadiest rain will end by early Monday morning, but areas of light rain or drizzle will persist on Monday with a moist easterly wind. Highs will range from the lower 40s along the eastern Massachusetts coast and the higher elevations, to near 50° in the Connecticut valley. High pressure will move offshore today.
