Low clouds and areas of fog, locally dense persisted over Cape Cod and the islands. Visibilities from Provincetown to Hyannis and Nantucket were reported around one quarter mile. Elsewhere skies were mostly clear. Morning temperatures were seasonably mild, ranging from the lower 60s in the urban centers to the 50s elsewhere. Morning low clouds and fog will continue to gradually diminish over Cape Cod and the islands and the south coast this morning. Otherwise expect sunny skies and seasonably warm temperatures away from the south coast. Highs will range from the 80s inland to the 70s along the coast, except only the 60s across exposed shoreline locations of Cape Cod and the islands. In addition some leftover southerly swell may produce riptides along portions of southern Rhode Island and south coastal Massachusetts. The swell is expected to gradually diminish late this afternoon. Mainly clear skies and seasonably mild temperatures can be expected tonight. Fog patches will reform along the south coast, Cape Cod and the islands. The fog may once again be locally dense. Lows will range from the 50s along the south coast to the upper 50s and lower 60s elsewhere. An upper level disturbance will quickly approach Monday morning with considerable high cloudiness. There is a slight chance of a shower or sprinkle mainly over northern areas. Otherwise it will be dry. Very warm temperatures can be expected away from the south coast with highs well into the 80s. However an onshore flow will only allow temperatures to rise into the mid 60s to mid 70s along the immediate south coast. === The weather observed at WORCESTER, MA at 08:54 AM EDT was: === The skies were mostly clear.
